This lovely villa was originally Des’s grandmothers house and due to fate has come back into our family again. You will be welcomed with two beautiful arches which lead you into the main house. Description of ‘Kirithra Retreat’
This is a 200 year-old stone built cottage, carefully renovated to a very high standard, retaining many of its original features including, in part, the original stone wall and wooden beams. The ground floor features a large, open plan living/dining room with working fireplace, furnished with soft sofas which can be used as sofa beds to sleep an extra 2 persons. Modern facilities include TV, DVD player and CD stereo and air-conditioning. The luxury kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and electric oven and hob. French doors and ‘stable door’ type shutters open directly onto the narrow village lane in front. The master bedroom with iron 4-poster bed is located on the ground floor. Adjacent is a luxuriously fitted full bathroom with whirlpool bath with shower over. A stone staircase leads up to the L-shaped second bedroom which has large twin beds and an en-suite bathroom with whirlpool bath. This bedroom has a private terrace overlooking the courtyard below, and two windows looking over the rooftops of the quaint village houses, over to the sea and Akamas Nature reserve nearby.
